FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): IU Health Fort Wayne has purchased 137 acres on Airport Expressway, creating a space for a new hospital.

IU Health Fort Wayne President Brian Bauer told the Journal Gazette of the acquisition Thursday, the same day IU Health broke ground on a new surgical center.

Bauer adds that IU Health eventually wants to offer in-patient care in Fort Wayne.
