FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One of this past weekend’s shooting victims has been identified.
The Allen County Coroner’s Office identified the man that was shot on Brooklyn Avenue near Covington Monday night. 51-year-old Hector Sustaita was shot at about 10:30 p.m. Monday and died at a local hospital.
A woman that also was shot is recovering.
The Coroner’s office has ruled Sustaita’s death a homicide due to gunshot wounds. He’s the 13th homicide in Allen County in 2016.
Investigators have figured out that a man had come to the home and opened fire on the victims before taking off southbound, on foot. No arrests have been made yet.
