FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police are investigating a shooting that left one dead and one in serious condition last night on the city’s southwest side.

Officer John Chambers tells WOWO news police were called to a home on Brooklyn Avenue near Covington Road at about 10:30pm, and found a man and a woman both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Both were transported to a local hospital, but the man died a short time after arriving.

Investigators have figured out that a man had come to the home and opened fire on the victims before taking off southbound, on foot. No arrests have been made yet.
