Fort Wayne police make arrest in Texas Roadhouse shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man was shot to death Sunday night at a Fort Wayne Texas Roadhouse.

Police were called to the Texas Roadhouse on West Washington Center Road at about 9:38 p.m. Sunday. When officers arrived, they found a man dead in the parking lot. Another man was hospitalized in critical condition. He was suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Fort Wayne Police Department.

Andrew Mac Cassaday, 29, was arrested in connection to the shooting. He was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of a firearm without a license and aggravated battery.

Police believe two groups of men started arguing inside the resturant and continued to argue in the parking lot. The argument turned into a physical fight. At some point, at least one gun was fired and a man was struck.

The man was loaded into a vehicle by his friends, police say. As the vehicle was leaving the parking lot, they drove around the building and someone inside the car shot at the other group of men, according to police. A man was struck and died at the scene.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Fort Wayne Police Department at 260-427-1222 or Crime Stoppers at 260-436-7867.
