Fort Wayne man shot to death on Fourth of July

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A 28-year-old Fort Wayne man was shot to death during the Fourth of July weekend.

The Allen County Coroner’s office said Domonic Javon Norton died from a gunshot wound. His death was ruled a homicide.

Police were called to a home in the 4100 block of Euclid Avenue at about 11:59 p.m. Monday, July 4.

When officers arrived, they found Norton suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was hospitalized. He died at 9:19 a.m. Tuesday.

He is the 18th homicide victim in Allen County this year. The shooting is still under investigation.
