FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Police have arrested Julio Rodriguez, 47 of Fort Wayne, in connection to a Wednesday morning death investigation at a home on Baxter Street near Weisser Park.

Rodriguez is facing preliminary charges of domestic battery causing serious bodily injury and aggravated battery in the death of his wife, Lucia Aviles Segura, 41 of Fort Wayne.
She was found in the basement of the home suffering from large wounds to the neck. Upon further investigation, Rodriguez told police he and his wife began fighting and he grabbed a machete. When asked how many times he stabbed her in the neck, he said two, according to our partners in news at ABC 21.
Segura is the 19th Homicide victim in Allen County for 2018 and the incident is still under investigation.
