Two men from Fort Wayne charged with Bloomington murder

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WOWO) – A shooting near Indiana University Thursday night, ended in two Fort Wayne men facing murder charges.

According to our partners in news at Fort Wayne’s NBC, Jamarius Turnage and Cleodis Collins Jr., both of Fort Wayne, went to an apartment complex with the intention of purchasing marijuana.  The two men then decided to steal it instead.  Allegedly a fight broke out and then shots were fired hitting 21-year-old Skylar Maupin several times.  Once outside, officers indicate that one of the suspects fired into the apartment and injured another man.

Skylar Maupin died at a hospital and the second victim that was shot is expected to be okay. Turnage and Collins have been arrested and are awaiting murder charges.
