FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Police are investigating an attack that happened inside a southwest Fort Wayne home Wednesday afternoon.

The Fort Wayne Police Department says they were called to a home on Homestead Road between Covington Road and Aboite Center Road Wednesday afternoon after multiple 911 hang-up calls to find two people, a man and a woman, down inside the home.

The woman was in stable condition and the man in critical condition. They discovered a vehicle was missing from the home and tracked it down in Whitley County, where the driver, 50-year-old Scott Ruse, was taken into custody after leading police on a brief chase. He’s been charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of attempted robbery.

Police aren’t currently saying just how the man and woman were injured, and their names have not been released yet.
