SYRACUSE, Ind. (WOWO): Kosciusko County deputies have arrested a 25-year-old man from Syracuse for a number of house burglaries.

Deputies started a traffic stop of what was reported as a “suspicious vehicle” on Genesee Lane in Syracuse, when the driver jumped out and ran. Ethan Jesse was caught in a nearby neighborhood thanks to a K-9 unit, initially charged with fleeing law enforcement and driving on a suspended license.

A search of a couple of locations connected to him yielded a large amount of stolen items, including flat-screen T.V.’s, chainsaws, musical instruments, electronics, and a firearm. Officers estimate almost $5,000 worth of stolen items were found at the two separate location.

Police are investigating the possible involvement of at least one other individual. Jessie has been charged with five additional counts of burglary.
