Sunshine Mills, Inc. recalling dog food products, may contain elevated Vitamin D

NATIONWIDE, (WOWO) – Sunshine Mills, Inc. is issuing a voluntary recall after it was determined some of its products may contain potentially elevated levels of Vitamin D.

The recall includes select products of Evolve Puppy, Sportsman’s Pride Large Breed Puppy and Triumph Chicken and Rice Dog Food.

This recall comes shortly after other brands of dog food were found to have elevated levels of Vitamin D just a few weeks prior.

Dogs ingesting elevated levels of Vitamin D may exhibit symptoms such as vomiting, loss of appetite, increased thirst, increased urination, excessive drooling, and weight loss.

Consumers with dogs who have ingested any of the products listed above, and are exhibiting any of these symptoms, should contact their veterinarian immediately.

If you own any of the recalled products, dispose of it or return it to the retailer for a full refund.
