Steuben County man busted for burglary

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A Steuben County man was arrested after police say he stole auto parts.

Officers with the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office received a call Thursday from the Williams County (OH) Sheriff’s Office to help out with a burglary investigation at a home in York Township.

Once officers arrived at the home, located in the 9400 block of east US 20, they conducted a search and found several items that were reported stolen. They also discovered objects associated with using Marijuana.

31-year-old Jonathan Depew, the homeowner, was taken in for questioning and then booked into the Steuben County Jail on three felony charges of auto theft/receiving stolen auto parts, illegal possession of a legend drug, and maintaining a common nuisance. He was also charged with two misdemeanor counts of possession of Marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

Depew remains held in lieu of a $12,500 bond.
