KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – Small Owen’s is closing.

Kroger’s Central Division made the announcement Wednesday, saying that poor financial performance is to blame.

The Owen’s location at 302 W. Market Street in Warsaw will shut down within 30 days.

A press release from Kroger says the latest evaluations suggest improvements at that store are no longer realistic.

They invite Warsaw shoppers to go to the Owen’s on Center Street, where they recently invested $4 million on renovations.

The 54 store associates at the Market Street Owen’s will be offered the opportunity to transfer to other Kroger stores in the area.
