Shots fired at “Get 2 Go” gas station on Spring Street, man in critical

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One man is in critical condition after an early Tuesday morning shooting at a gas station.

Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department were called to the “Get 2 Go” gas station located at 422 Spring Street, at 1:20 a.m., in regards to a man being shot. Once there, they found the man down, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was last listed in critical condition.

Upon further investigation, police learned the victim was a passenger in a SUV that pulled on to the lot. He began pumping gas when a gray car and white SUV arrived at the station. Shots were then fired and the man pumping gas was hit.

He was able to make his way into the business where he collapsed. However, both the gray car and the white SUV then left the scene.

Moments later, the gray car was stopped by an Indiana State Trooper. Investigators are interviewing the two men inside the vehicle. However, no arrests have been made at this time, and an investigation is still underway.
