Second annual Kidstravaganza this Saturday, familiarizing kids with emergency services

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – The Fire Police City County Federal Credit Union (FPCCFCU) will host its second annual “Kidstravaganza” Saturday.

The event works to increase awareness of the various types of police, fire and emergency services that keep our community safe.

The event will feature games, inflatable fun, snacks, prize drawings and educational activities.

Kidstravaganza will take place at the Covington Plaza Branch (6304 W. Jefferson Blvd.) from 9 a.m. until noon, and feature:

  • Fort Wayne Police Department and Standing Against Violence Everyday (S.A.V.E.): Children will be able to climb into an armored tank and see a K-9 Unit up close.
  • Fort Wayne Fire Department: Children can explore a firetruck and visit with Spotz, the FWFD’s Dalmatian mascot.
  • Fort Wayne TinCaps: Come take a photo and play catch with Johnny TinCap.
  • FPCCFCU: Free bicycle helmets are available while supplies last! Also enter for a chance to win a new bicycle.
