Robber hits Waynedale bank (Updated)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A bank robbery has been reported in the Waynedale area.

According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, officers were called to the Chase Bank at 2601 Lower Huntington Road just before 8:30am today on reports of an armed robbery.

Witnesses say a man wearing black clothing with a handgun entered the bank, made threats, and then left with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a white male with facial hair; wearing a dark-colored coat; dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with a print in the front of the chest area; Light two-colored baseball style hat with an Under Amor logo and armed with a handgun.

Investigators are reviewing video camera surveillance footage for a clear timeline of events that took place, possible suspect vehicle, and suspect description.
