FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): There’s less retail vacancies in Fort Wayne.

According to a Retail Market Survey report released by The Zacher Company, the retail vacancy rate in downtown Fort Wayne has dropped to 60.5 percent. That’s down from 72 percent in June 2015, according to the Journal-Gazette.

Overall retail space vacancy also dropped about 14 percent from one year ago. This time last year, almost 16 percent of Fort Wayne’s over 14 million square-feet vacancy was available.

The press release says downtown Fort Wayne is seeing a revival “not seen in several decades.”
