Lucretia Cardenas is the editor of “Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly” and joined Charly Butcher on “Fort Wayne’s Morning News” to talk about what’s coming up in this week’s issue:

1) The gist on regional partnerships
The northeast counties of Indiana are bustling with activity to develop and benefit the greater Fort Wayne area, but keeping track of who does what can be confusing.
2) Conexus makes a better match
Chris Straw is looking forward to good things for his company from upgrades recently made to Conexus Indiana’s industrial supplier matchmaking database. He won’t be the only one benefiting from the improved program in the state.
3) Doctors eat up:
Physicians, teaching hospitals receive millions in food and beverage payments from medical companies
Despite recent transparency requirements, medical device and pharmaceutical companies paid out more than $6 billion nationwide to doctors and teaching hospitals, mostly through food and beverage expenditures.
Several of the companies include those based in northeast Indiana and some of the recipients are also in the region.
4) Unemployment among criminals affects economy
Studies show that individuals with criminal records are less than half as likely to get a call back after an interview as those who do not, a number with which the United States economy will not be able to keep up if the trend continues.
