FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – The revision in collection routes has allowed Red River Waste Solutions correct some long-running issues with missed trash and recycling pickups.

The number of misses dropped from 5,300 complaints in November to just over 1,400 last month.  Missed pickups dropped 87% from October to December and complaints to the city’s 311 call center have dropped, according to the Journal Gazette.  Some of the City Councilmen in Fort Wayne have also reported fewer complaints yet some remain skeptical.

Red River Solutions had missed thousands of trash and recycle pickups from October through December and have accumulated more than a quarter-million dollars in fines since taking over Fort Wayne’s trash service over a year ago.
