Police respond to multiple reports of remains in flooded areas

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Responders found two bodies in area bodies of water Thursday.

First, police were called Thursday morning to Lakeside Park after a body was found in a pond there. A fisherman had been reported missing the night before as torrential rains caused flash flooding throughout the area.

Then, crews were called to the Tecumseh Street Bridge Thursday morning after a body was found in the Maumee River. Our Partners in News at ABC 21 report it appears that a pontoon boat had broken loose overnight from a nearby deck and crashed into the bridge.

None of the victims’ identities have been released to the public yet.
