FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – On Friday evening around 6:56 p.m., the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to reports of a shooting on the 600 Block of Riverside Avenue.  Upon arrival, officers discovered a female at the residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are questioning people who were inside the residence and crime scene technicians are processing the area.  Police have no suspects at this time and no arrests have been made.  The identity of the victim will be release pending family notification.  The cause and manner of death will be released at a later date by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.  The investigation is still on going and no arrests have been made.
