CLEVELAND (AP): Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine says his office is joining a new effort to recognize and stop human trafficking ahead of the Republican National Convention.
DeWine’s office announced the new campaign Thursday hopes to raise public awareness of human trafficking and to educate people on the signs that human trafficking is occurring.
The campaign message will be displayed at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, on city buses and on billboards throughout the Cleveland area. The campaign also includes a new website, which will include more information on the crime, signs of human trafficking, and how to get help.
DeWine joined officials from the Collaborative to End Human Trafficking and members of Greater Cleveland’s Coordinated Response to Human Trafficking to announce the campaign Thursday.
