HICKSVILLE, Ohio (WOWO): A Hicksville couple is facing charges after the body of an infant was discovered on their property Wednesday.

According to a press release from the Defiance County Sheriff’s Office, police visited the home of 33-year-old Jared Stark and 35-year-old Sarah Stark on Arrowsmith Road Wednesday and found the child’s body after a search of the residence and nearby area.

The child, which had apparently been born on October 29th in 2016, reportedly died in the home shortly after birth.

Jared Clark has been charged with endangering children and abuse of a corpse. Sarah Stark is charged with endangering children.

There’s no word yet on what prompted the search and arrests, but Sheriff Douglas Engel says further charges are expected. The couple is due in court today.
