ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): An alliance of community leaders in east Allen County will be unveiling a plan to attract and retain “high quality” jobs next week.

Kent Castleman, President of the NewAllen Alliance, tells WOWO News their strategic plan has been shaped by input from more than 800 residents, business owners, and community stakeholders:

“All of these plans have been approved by the communities involved, either by a city council or town council,” he says, adding that one of the plan’s biggest focal points is improving the downtown areas of communities like New Haven, Woodburn, and Harlan.

“The plan is actually seven unique plans, but it also covers some of the themes and similarities we’ve seen across the board.”

The strategic plan will be released to the public on October 24th. To learn more and register to attend the public unveiling, click here.
