FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Tickets are now available for the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball National Championship, to be held in Fort Wayne on March 15th and 16th next year.

The two-day finals in 2019 mark the first of four consecutive years that Fort Wayne will host the National Championships at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. Representatives from Visit Fort Wayne recommend picking up tickets as soon as possible. They start at $26 for adults and are $16 for students/seniors/military for Friday and Saturday. Tickets may be purchased through Ticketmaster or the Coliseum box office.

Single session tickets are also available at $15.50 for adults and $10.50 for students/seniors/military.

“We are thrilled and looking forward to the 2019 NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball National Championship coming to Fort Wayne this March. For the first time Indiana will observe the crowning of an NCAA Division III men’s basketball national champion,” says Sam Atkinson, chair of the NCAA Division III men’s basketball national committee and Associate Athletic Director for Communications at Gallaudet University. The march to Fort Wayne begins this October as teams begin practices and games tip-off in November. Four teams will end that journey on March 15-16 in Fort Wayne and we hope you will be there to witness it.”

“While tournament planning has been in the works for several months, the start of ticket sales signifies the beginning of the countdown to the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball National Championship. Manchester University is excited to be partnering with Visit Fort Wayne and the Memorial Coliseum to bring this pinnacle event to Northeast Indiana,” says Tami Hoagland, Athletics Office Manager at Manchester University.

The annual economic impact is estimated at $575,000 for each year of the championship.
