National children’s retail chain to file for bankruptcy

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Children’s store company Gymboree Group, Inc. has announced it may close most, or all, of its stores nationwide.

The company is expected to file for bankruptcy protection within the next few days, and is considering liquidation of all of its retail outlets, which include Gymboree, Crazy 8 and Janie and Jack.

Our partners in news at ABC 21 report the company has about 900 locations in total, including a Gymboree store at Jefferson Pointe and a Crazy 8 at Glenbrook Square Mall.

The nearest Janie and Jack is in Indianapolis.
