Man sentenced in fatal hit and run back in court on parole violation

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man who received no jail time for a fatal hit and run in 2016 is back in court for allegedly violating his parole.

Fort Wayne’s NBC reports Aaron Moser, 20, was in court Friday. He is accused of violating the terms of his release after he tested positive for alcohol back on February 9.

Moser pleaded guilty in an October 2016 hit and run that killed Nicolas Mruk. Mruk was riding his bicycle on Hand Road.

Moser initially said he hit a deer, but later admitted he struck Mruk and fled the scene.

Moser plead guilty to leaving the scene and was sentenced to 3 years of electronic home monitoring.

He is expected to return to court on March 10.
