Kicking off the holiday season, Christmas on Broadway

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The holiday season is kicking off with the installation of one of the tallest Christmas tress in the Summit City.

Monday, Nov.14 from 5 a.m. to approximately 7 a.m., Broadway Plaza (near the Shine Law Office Building) by Park Avenue will be experiencing some heavy back-ups as the 40 foot Christmas tree is installed.

Then on Friday Night Nov. 18th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. the tree will be lit.

Christmas on Broadway boasts crowds of well over 3,500 people.

The event also includes a Christmas train, live reindeer, Santa Claus, and refreshments. Activities get under way at 5 p.m., followed by the tree lighting ceremony.
