IPFW Alumni Board opposes realignment plan

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A group of IPFW alumni are urging school leaders to reconsider a realignment plan for the Fort Wayne college.

The IPFW Alumni Association’s Board of Directors is speaking out against the plan to split IPFW into separate Purdue and Indiana University campuses, calling it “potentially wrong.” Their letter, which you can read below, cites several problems with the plan, calling it “convoluted” and calling the separation of the campus into two entities a “step backward” for the community.

The I-U Board of Trustees has already approved the plan, which would have I-U take over the health science classes and Purdue assume control of the rest. Purdue’s Board votes on the plan Friday.
