INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana is once again ranked among the best for its business climate.

The state came in eighth on this year’s “Top States for Doing Business” from Area Development Magazine. It was a two-position drop, as Indiana ranked sixth last year.

The results come from surveys of professionals in the site consulting industry. The states were ranked in 10 categories, ranging from corporate tax rates and workers compensation premiums to cost of living and “business-friendly” regulations.

Indiana was tops among its neighbors, placing above Ohio at number 11, Kentucky at 14, and Michigan at 18, with Illinois not even making the top 20.
