Indiana leaders remember late first lady Nancy Reagan

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Leaders in Indiana are remembering former first lady Nancy Reagan for her courage, kindness and partnership with her husband.

Reagan died at her home in Los Angeles on Sunday. She was 94.

Republican U.S. Sen. Dan Coats says in a statement that Reagan lived an “extraordinary life” because of her love for her country and support for her husband.

Former Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels issued a statement through Purdue University, where’s he’s president. He says Reagan was a full partner in her husband’s life and public service.

Republican U.S. Rep. Luke Messer says Reagan was “the epitome” of class, grace and devotion.
