FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) –  Indiana Michigan Power unveiled a new grant program last week that is aimed at helping to support the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership’s “Make it Your Own” program for the Fort Wayne and Northeast Indiana market.

The new program is designed to help customers in the area by boosting local economies.   The project includes developing the “Make it Your Own” brand and logo with the hopes that it will be a recognizable throughout the area.  The project will be ongoing for several years.

Last year, I&M created the Economic Impact Grant program as a part of their Building the Future plan that was approved by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission in 2018.  More than $130,000 in grants was awarded by I&M in 2018 and more than $100,000 is set to be given out in 2019.
