CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. (WOWO): Spring breakers headed to Florida might have to rethink their route there.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation says a “slope slide,” or an avalanche of rocks, is forcing closures on both sides of I-75 in Campbell County, according to the Courier-Journal.
TDOT says the closure in Campbell County, which is just south of the Tennessee and Kentucky line, will be a long-term closure and could last weeks.
The rock slide is on the northbound side of the road around mile marker 142. Officials were forced to close the road after rocks hit vehicles Friday afternoon.
Northbound traffic is being rerouted at the 134-mile marker, while southbound traffic is being rerouted at the 160-mile marker, according to Campbell County Sheriff’s Office.
