Homeless man charged in 2016 murder

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO: A homeless Fort Wayne man has been charged in the death of a 23-year-old man back in 2016.

Our Partners in News at ABC 21 say 21-year-old Logan Stuth is charged with murder in the death of Dominique Williams, who was killed in an alleged robbery on Aug. 5, 2016 in the 7900 block of Winston Lane. Stuth is charged with murder and firearm used in the commission of an offense resulting in death.

Williams’ mother says he was celebrating his birthday on the day of the homicide. Police responded to a 911 call at 6 am that day and found him unresponsive in an apartment. They believe two men wanted to rob him, and shots were fired some time during the alleged robbery. Another man who lived there escaped unharmed.

Police say Williams invited Stuth to stay with him. However, police add Stuth gave several different stories of what happened, and Stuth’s brother told investigators that Logan is mentally unstable and discussed wanting to kill someone.

Stuth is held without bail at the Allen County Jail.
