Here comes the cold

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Arctic air is about to move into northern Indiana.

Temperatures will start to drop Tuesday night, but not before some possible flurries. Snow is likely before 3 p.m., Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch is possible. However, really cold air will start to arrive Wednesday morning. Highs are only expected to be in the teens, with wind chill values as low as -5.

Thursday morning into Thursday night will be the coldest with highs in the single digits and lows near zero. Wind chills of -10 to possibly as low as -20 will be in store.

Come the weekend, warmer air will arrive, but with the warmer temperatures will be another storm system that is set to take aim on the Great Lakes. Stay tuned to WOWO fore more weather updates.
