FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Patients of an embattled Fort Wayne doctor have three days, including today, to get their medical records.

Dr. Michael Cozzi was arrested on March 22nd for felony possession of a narcotic and is accused of over-prescribing painkillers to 1,700 people, some of which died as a result of using the drugs.

Now a release from the Fort Wayne-Allen County Department of Health says Cozzi’s patients can go to his office at 2510 E. Dupont Road, Suite 115 to have their medical records faxed over to their primary care physician so they can seek continuing medical care.

Requests have to be made in person between the hours of 8am and 4pm until Thursday, March 31st.
