Head-on collision results in OWI arrest

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): An Auburn man is under arrest for allegedly causing a crash while intoxicated.

Police say 22-year-old William Spangler was driving westbound on CR 72 in the 4400 block around 10 p.m. Saturday when he swerved into the eastbound lane to avoid a deer. He then struck a vehicle driven by 39-year-old Tyler Quaintance head-on, causing it to roll into a ditch.

Spangler was arrested for an OWI. Quaintance was transported to a nearby hospital.
