(WOWO News)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Three people, including a small child, are in critical condition after a pair of shootings in Fort Wayne Sunday.

According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, officers were first called to a house in the 4500 block of Southpark Drive at about 11:15am to find both a woman and a five-year-old boy suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police believe the shooting may have been accidental, and may release more details once they finish interviewing witnesses.

In a second instance, police were called to a home in the 1500 block of East Paulding Road shortly after 3:30pm after a man walked up to a neighbor’s house and told them he had been shot.

The victim was taken to the hospital by paramedics in serious condition, but was downgraded to critical condition a short time later.

Police are still investigating and are asking anyone who knows what happened to call them at 427-1201 or Crime Stoppers at 436-7867.
