FW drug raid nets two arrests

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne drug raid leads police to two arrests and the possession of over 200 grams of illegal substances.

After multiple tips called into the Fort Wayne Police Department about drug activity, investigators served a search warrant at a home located at 4407 Plaza Drive around 9 a.m. Friday, March 9. During the raid, detectives found 85 grams of cocaine, 22 grams of methamphetamine, 71 grams of Heroin, and over 14 grams of marijuana.

Jimmy Hines, the owner of the property, faces three charges of dealing, a charge of possession and a charge of maintaining a Common Nuisance. Ellihue Pegues, of Fort Wayne, was also at the home. He is facing two charges of possession and a charge of Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

The Department of Children’s Services was called also and had to remove children from the residence. The home has since been boarded up following the warrant. Detectives are continuing to investigate with the possibility of further charges.
