FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Four groups including IU Health have expressed initial interest in the North River property owned by the city.

Biggs Group, Continental Property Group, Great Lakes Capital and IU Health all responded to the city’s request for qualifications, according to the News-Sentinel. The city will then decide on which groups will submit actual proposals. Then, a developer could be chosen within 5 months. Construction wouldn’t start until late 2019.

The city purchased the North River property, a former scrap yard, for $4.63 million last November.

Work at the site this year includes storm sewer construction, brick salvage, and more potential environmental testing.
