FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort4Fitness has added a new race this holiday season.

It’s the “Fort4Fitness Fantasy of Lights 5K” at Franke Park. Best known as a drive-through event adjacent to the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, it boasts over 85 animated-light displays are spread out over 1.5 miles. On Saturday, November 19th, runners and walkers will be there to celebrate the “first lighting” of the season.

“With our very successful Spring Cycle and Fall Festival, Fort4Fitness has become the catalyst for inspiring healthy living through fitness that we knew it would be,” said Board Chairman and Fort4Fitness founder Tim Kenesey. Over a thousand runners are expected to participate.

Fort4Fitness Executive Director, Carrie Reeb, commented: “Whether rain or snow or sleet or hail, we expect over a thousand participants to help kick off our F4F Fantasy of Lights 5K and the holiday season.”

The charity partner for the Fantasy of Lights is Blue Jacket Inc. The lighting display runs from November 22nd, to December 31st.
