Fort Wayne weekend events, March 2 – 4

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – This weekend is filled with unique events, such as the annual Fort Wayne Home and Garden Show, Disney on Ice and Down the Line 12 at the Embassy Theatre.

There’s an event suitable for everyone in your family. Check them all out below.

45th Annual Fort Wayne Home and Garden Show – Friday, March 2 @ 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Saturday, March 3 @ 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Sunday, March 4 @ 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Visit the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum’s Expos I-III this weekend to check out more than 650 exhibitors, with contemporary home and garden products. This event is family friendly, and includes a petting zoo, adoptable pets, martial arts demonstrations, and more. Adults are $10, $6 Seniors, and children 15 years and under are free.

Gregg Coffey & Alexandra Hall at Conjure (Coffee) – Friday, March 2 through April 30 @ 5-9 p.m.
Featuring art by Alexandra Hall & Gregg Coffey; original acrylic paintings and framed limited edition prints. This event is free and open to the public.

Disney on Ice – Reach for the Stars – Friday, March 2 @ 7 p.m.; Saturday, March 3 @ 11 a.m., 3 p.m., & 7 p.m.; Sunday, March 4 @ 1 p.m. & 5 p.m. 
Located at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, tickets start at $15. Featuring the classics like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy, as well as Anna and Elsa, Ariel, Rapunzel, Beauty and the Beast, and many more!

The Old Fort: Revolutionary War Garrison – Saturday, March 3 @ 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Take a step back in time and witness Colonial soldiers get ready for the struggle against England as they repair their equipment and practice their skills. Taking place at The Old Fort, the event is free but donations are gratefully accepted.

Doctor’s Day – Saturday, March 3 @ 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Meet with health professionals and learn about medical and health issues this Saturday at Science Central. Activities include the landing and display of the Lutheran Air and Parkview Samaritan helicopters, the chance to explore emergency medical vehicles, presentations by healthcare on career options and much more. This event is free until 2 p.m.

Down the Line 12 – Saturday, March 3 @ 7 p.m.
The Embassy Theatre will present five local bands, including Todd Harrold Duo with Nick Bobay or Eric Clancy; March On; Comrade; The Be Colony; Unlikely Alibi; and Pink Droyd. Tickets are $15.

Music From Don Giovanni at Rhinehart Music Center at IPFW – Sunday, March 4 @ 2-4 p.m.
Part of the Philharmonic’s Freimann Series of Chamber Music Concerts. Music from one of Mozart’s greatest operas, Saint-Saens’ chamber works of the nineteenth century, and Haydn’s String Quartet in D major will be presented. Admission is $29.
