Fort Wayne weekend events, March 16 – 18

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – This weekend brings many St. Patrick’s Day celebrations throughout the Fort Wayne area! For those 21+, attend the Clover Classic at Deer Park or celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at JK O’Donnell’s.

Firefighters will also provide a family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day event downtown on Saturday morning.

Civic Theatre: Buyer & Cellar – Friday, March 16 – Sunday, March 25
Attend this one-man show at the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre this weekend. The show is the winner of the 2014-2015 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Solo Show. Directed by Gregory Stieber.

Clover Classic – St. Patrick’s Weekend Celebration at Deer Park – Friday, March 16 @ 6-11 p.m.; Saturday, March 17 @ 8 a.m. – Midnight; Sunday, March 18 @ 12-2 p.m.
Attend Fort Wayne’s biggest St. Patrick’s Day party, including bigger tents, bigger bands and a semi trailer serving beer. Events range from keg tosses, Irish step dancers, green beer, and a Peoples Parade.

Mad Ants vs. Canton Charge – Friday, March 16 @ 7 p.m.
Cheer on the Fort Wayne Mad Ants as they take on the Canton Charge at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. Tip off is at 7 p.m.

Traxxas Monster Truck Destruction Tour – Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17 @ 7:30 p.m.
Come witness destruction as the tour provides monster trucks, freestyle motocross, lawn mower racing, demolition derby, tuff trucks and more. Th event takes place at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Expos I, II and III. Admission is $20-$42 for adults, $18-$42 for kids.

Firefighters Get Green Fest – Saturday, March 17 @ 8 a.m. – 11 p.m.
This family friendly St. Patrick’s Day festival is hosted by the Fort Wayne Professional Firefighters in downtown Fort Wayne. Proceeds benefit local charities.

St. Patrick’s Day at JK O’Donnell’s – Saturday, March 17 @ 11 a.m.
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at JK O’Donnell’s this Saturday. A tent will be open all day and all ages are welcome until 7 p.m. Admission is $5. Several live musicians will perform throughout the day, including The O’Tooles bagpipers.

FAME Festival – Fort Wayne – Saturday, March 17 and Sunday, March 18 @ Noon – 5 p.m.
Attend FAME’s 31st annual celebration that coincides with Youth Art & Music in Our Schools Month. The event presents the opportunity for students to create, exhibit and perform works for art. Admission is $5 for adults, free for children 17 years and under.

Bowie and Prince – The Fort Wayne Philharmonic – Saturday, March 17 @ 7:30-9:30 p.m.
Jeans ‘n Classics joins the Philharmonic for a combined night featuring favorites by these groundbreaking artists, starring Jean Meilleur and Gavin Hope, along with a five-piece band and backup singers. Admission ranges from $29-$72 at the Fort Wayne Embassy Theatre.

Newsboys United 30th Anniversary Tour – Sunday, March 18 @ 6 p.m.
Attend this concert at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum Sunday. Ticket prices vary, but can be purchased here.
