Fort Wayne Restaurant shooting suspect arrested in Indianapolis Thursday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – The suspect wanted in a recent restaurant shooting was captured in Indianapolis Thursday.

Gabriel Hicks, 29, was found hiding out in an Indianapolis-area hotel and was arrested by officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

He was booked in the Marion County Jail and is awaiting arrangements to be transported back to Fort Wayne for arraignment on two counts of attempted murder.

The charges were filed Wednesday, along with a warrant for Hicks’ arrest, after a September 21 shooting left two people in critical condition.

Both victims in the shooting are still hospitalized.
