FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): There have been numerous reports of dozens of police cars escorting school buses on the north side of Fort Wayne Friday.
There is a valid explanation, and it’s nothing to be worried about. Fort Wayne dispatchers say officers are escorting the school buses to the Mizpah Circus at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.

I am a former police officer, and I am a Dad of 4 daughters, so I love the fact that PD escorts our children to the circus, but I always wondered why. My theory is traffic, and I’ve been asked often, why the escort. Random question for me, but it’s often asked, why the escort?
