During Friday’s hearing, Caldwell said he was under the influence of alcohol and cocaine during the September incident, and that he was also angry. He admitted to pouring gasoline on his wife and setting her on fire.

Caldwell will appear in court for sentencing on April 26. He faces 45-65 years in prison.
