Fort Wayne man arrested after undercover drug bust

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A Fort Wayne man was arrested Thursday after police purchased drugs from him while undercover.

Around 11:30 a.m., members of the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Vice and Narcotics Division served a search warrant at an apartment on Stonehedge Boulevard.

The warrant was issued after undercover detectives purchased 26.9 grams of cocaine from Nermin Demirovic at the residence.

Demirovic, 27, was then arrested. Police found $2,783 and .40 grams of cocaine on his person at the time of the arrest.

Police also searched the apartment, locating 417.8 grams of THC, 23 500 ML THC vape cartridges, 22.5 grams of cocaine, a Glock .45 caliber handgun, two .45 caliber magazines, miscellaneous scales, drug paraphernalia and ledger, and an additional $1,035.

Demirovic is facing six counts of Dealing Cocaine. The investigation is ongoing.
