WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man is accused of failing to tell a former girlfriend he was HIV positive when they had sexual relations.

Travis Ray Spoor, 36, Fort Wayne, was arrested Friday on two counts of malicious mischief, which are level 6 felonies. His bond was set at $5,250.

According to the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, Spoor’s ex-girlfriend contacted Indiana State Police on Jan. 16.

She told police that she began dating Spoor in November. Before they had a sexual relationship, he told her he did not have any diseases. She noted that Spoor always carried a pill container and took a lot of the pills, according to the report.

On Dec. 27, a friend reportedly told the ex-girlfriend that Spoor had HIV, which he denied. ISP obtained Spoor’s medical records, which indicated that he was diagnosed with HIV on Dec. 22, 2012.
