SAGINAW, Mich. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man charged with murder has been arrested in Saginaw, Michigan.

Marquavious Jones, 28, of Fort Wayne, was arrested Thursday by U.S. Marshals for the shooting death of Sha Rif, 22. back on Nov. 30, 2016.

Rif’s body was found in the parking lot of the Marathon gas station at Lafayette and Clinton streets just before 2 a.m, according to the Journal Gazette.

Court Documents reveal Jones asked Rif for a ride to Foster’s Bar on South Clinton. Jones and another man called “D” climbed into Rif’s SUV and left.

A woman says she heard Jones bragging about the murder at a friend’s house, saying that Rif had given him a ride and that his gun accidentally went off in the vehicle, hitting Rif. She went on to say that Jones said Rif “wasn’t going to beg for his life,” and Jones then unloaded his gun, according to court documents.

Two women say the shooting came after Jones left a party, jealous over a friendship Rif had with them.
