FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): If you want your child to go to a different Fort Wayne Community School than he or she is already assigned to, Wednesday is your day.

The lottery for all grade levels will be held Wednesday at the Grile Administrative Center on South Clinton Street.

The elementary lottery starts at 9 a.m., the middle and high school lottery follows at 1 p.m.

The lottery is for parents who have applied to a magnet school, a high school Program of Study, or another school that’s not in your child’s geographically assigned school.

Parents unable to attend the lottery will get a letter by the end of the month with the results. They can also get information in-person with photo ID at the Student and Family Support Services at Grile during normal business hours.
