Five safe after Fort Wayne house fire

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne house was damaged in a fire Sunday night.

The Fort Wayne Fire Department was called to a home on Scott Avenue, a block west of Broadway, at about 10:15 p.m.

The Journal Gazette reports that by the time firefighters arrived they found flames shooting out the back of the house, and power lines down in the yard.

There were five people inside the house, and they were all able to get out safely. There’s currently no word on what started the blaze.
